Are you still doing these 2 things? 11/2/15

They will DEFINETLY be causing you to store bodyfat!

So I’d really like you to stop.

I’m talking about the two fat loss cardinal sins…

Eating cereal

AND

Eating bread

If you’re eating cereal for breakfast on a regular basis then you won’t the results you’re after!

If you’re eating bread on a regular basis, again, you won’t get the results you want!

And if you’re doing these two things in combination more than 10% of the time, you will definitely be storing body fat as result of it!

Realistically if you’re training for fat loss, then the only real time you can ‘get away with’ eating carbs is directly following an effective training session.

Without boring you with too much detail, here’s how it works:

Your body can only store so much sugar (carbs) in your liver and muscle, until that storage starts to overflow and it gets converted & stored away as bodyfat <- Excessive carbs=fat storage (NOT eating fat!)

When you train, you use up a lot of this stored sugar (from your muscles and liver) and can ‘get away’ with topping it back up (without if overflowing) by ingesting a few carbs

But if you’re being REALLY strict, then you should try not to eat any starchy carbs at all.

With that said; the carbs that you do eat should still be ‘clean’ – Gluten free.

So that rules bread out of the equation.

In my eyes you are honestly best of just forgetting that bread exists.

Certain ‘clean’ cereals you can get away with eating after training

Gluten free cornflakes, Gluten free oats etc.

Love a bowl of cereal me!

So sometimes I’ll have one after training

Me and my girlfriend call cereal mouth cutters

We’ve both just got memories of Golden Nuggets and Wheetos as a kid, leaving us feeling like we’ve been chewing on glass.

Maybe that’s why they call em’ Shreddies…

Annyways!

If you’re eating cereal for breakfast;

Aswell as the unacceptable sugar spike it gives you it leaves another big problem…

No protein!

And no, milk doesn’t count!

Here are the 3 things that I have for breakfast instead:

Eggs

OR

A smoothie made with protein powder, berries, coconut oil, spinach, avocado, water and cinnamon

OR

Live yogurt with berries

It’s a really simple switch… And one you can thank me for later :)

And in terms of getting rid of bread it simply takes a little more preparation.

Prepare a salad, a homemade chicken soup, a chilli con carne etc.

Just make sure it contains a good source of protein and minimal carbs.

There you have it!

2 things that you can do today that WILL make a massive difference to your results!

I PROMISE THIS WILL WORK!

If there’s one step that you make this month towards getting back into shape for life, then make it getting rid of cereal for breakfast and eliminating bread altogether
